Wow.. who saw this coming? The media both in the papers, on television and on WFAN were all saying that these past two series with the Phillies and Yankees would be murder for our Mets. Look who's talking now!
2 of 3 from the Yankees, which could have also been a sweep if it wasn't for some shoddy fielding late in the game by backup 2nd baseman Cora. And a THREE GAME SHUTOUT SWEEP OF THE PHILLIES!
That's back to back series wins against the two teams in last seasons WORLD SERIES!
This is a great day to be a Mets fan! Going into play the Brewers this weekend should hopefully be a breeze. Their team is slumping and we just came off two great series wins. Lets do it big this MDW!
