The man, the myth, the legend #18 Darryl Strawberry's spot in Douglaston, Queens is just about ready to open.They projected to open during the All Star break but like all things in business that got pushed back a bit. This is THE BAR this whole neighborhood has been waiting for and whether or not Darryl knows it, we are about to become boys.
This place is within walking distance to my house and I know I will without a doubt be keeping a bar stool warm very very frequently.
Darryl's brother is going to manage the place, but not sure how often the man himself is going to be in the house. I'm sure he will around for the grand opening so if you want to catch a glimpse of the Straw Man get to Douglaston on August 5th.
